New Years Day...
Another Fantastic Family Celebration... Like usual loads of food, lots of family members and copious amounts of Alcohol!! Sadly Shota and I left before any family members were passed out on the floor... like Christmas Eve. We still had a few laughs though :)
A great start to the year!
This is a traditional Japanese Dish, Shota's Mother actually prepared this for the celebration.
It is tradition that on New Years day you eat your first meal with "Celebration" Chopsticks, because it is the new year, you need to use brand new chopsticks! How flasy is the packaging? I kept mine of course... oh and yes that is a toothpick on the front.
The family photos :)
Nobutaka getting stuck into a bottle of sake... it has a fizzy taste!
Chisa is the smallest out of her sisters and the third eldest. There are six (sisters) altogether.
Shota's Sister Mei and I
A family portrait :)
Chisa's Sisters family, minus one Son (he serves in the Military), so hence the photograph.
The rest of the family members, minus a couple of Husbands and another Son.
Sorry I lied earlier... we were present for a sleeping Uncle... look closely to the left of the coffee table, you can just make out some legs. ** Keep in mind it was arounf 3pm***
Shota and his Father... OK so I made Nobutaka puff out his muscles, not him, he just happened to be wearing a rather fitted undergarmet! He's pretty fit for a man in his 50's!
