Kintai Bridge... Iwakuni

Yes so I have been getting quite good with the old "timer" on the camera... although I don't know why I jsut don't ask someone to take a picture for us... we  get asked all the time! Well not me... but Shota gets asked all the time.

So we left our creepy owner at the Hostel in Miyajima and caught a train into the town of Iwakuni.. it was a miserable day, very overcast and ended up raining from about 3pm right through the night.

These two pics are taken from the train...
Yep, it was at 3pm that we decided to walk home from our day of sightseeing, so an hour home in the rain... then later that night we felt like Sushi, so another walk in the rain just for sushi!

Iwakuni is famous for the Kintai Bridge and the Iwakuni Castle, to get up to the castle you take a ropeway up, we bought a package ticket that included all these elements...

Later, returning to out Hotel soaking wet! We checked into the best room so far! The Hotel "Green Rich" Hotel, is very fancy indeed. Our room was beautiful, everything was new and clean!! There was still a faint smell of smoke an astray and a sign reminding you not to "smoke" in bed, but we could handle that, when everything else was wonderful. We even had filter coffee and a LAN connection...
After only a night in Iwakuni, we set off on another adventure... to Beppu, for a soak in the many onsen!
xx
