Sunday Sushi & Third Farewell Dinner

So it is not secret that Shota nd I have a love for Sushi... on Friday we had it twice, for lunch and Dinner. So when Shota's Aunty Mie, called up today and invited us out for Sushi... we could not refuse.

We drove to a tiny little Sushi Restaurant, it only had one table, which fit the seven of us and in the front of the shop, similar to a bar.

We ordered a mixture of fish.. all were delcious! (of course) :)

Here are some the pictures;

This plate was taken off the wall, for our Sushi to be put on!!

This is my favourite type of Sushi!! I love it sooo much!! I had it for the first time at the restaurant in Mt. Fuji.. it's been frilled under a blow torch. Delicious!! :)

Beef Sushi.. Mmmm.... Yummy, Yummy... no really it was!!

Another amazing meal... Thank-you very much Mie and Takashi for taking us there! I loved it :) Actually we all loved it! :)

 It it really going to be hard to leave Japan and all this sensational food. Hopefully it won't be too long till we are there again!!

Shota and I have received many beautiful gifts and tonight received even more! From Shota's Aunty a very stylish pair of chopsticks and a generous amount of money. And from Norico and her family a hina matsuri box of sweets, hina matsuri is the name given to a festival dedicated to girls. Ladies will set up a display of Japanese style dolls on a step like platform. Girls day is on the 3rd of March, unfortunately we will be back in Oz then and miss out on seeing the displays.

Norico also gave us a very beautiful gift, with sentimental value. Her grandmother passed away last week, it was very unexpected and extremely sad. Shota and I were lucky enough to meet her Grandmother and see her and Norico perform the Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. Shota had a long conversation with her about her life and why she decided to learn the Tea Ceremony in the first place. We are both honoured to have met her. Her Grandmother had said to Norico that she wanted to give us something of hers, so Norico chose a very old and Traditional Bento Box, made from wood that a friend of her Grandmothers had made. The box is extremely delicate and cannot be in direct sunlight, it can also not be washed with soapy water. I will use the box to store my favourite jewellery in.

We had a lovely day/evening :) Thanks to everyone for coming along and Chisa for putting on such an amazing spread. Shota and I really appreciate it.
